The 10 Laws of productivity
2. Empiezan en pequeño . Tendemos to think big but it is interesting concepts reduce to smaller ideas that can be implemented immediately.
3. Do not get discouraged with failures: listen and learn from them . Trial and error are fundamental. The process of polishing the ideas to come up with an improved version becomes mediocre initiatives truly groundbreaking product.
4. They have simple goals and frequently reviewed . We start many things, but when we passed the excitement we forget and nothing happens ... It is interesting to remember.
5. Work a little on your project every day . It is necessary to maintain daily living products that require a serious investment of creativity. It's like running: the more you run, the easier it run longer.
6. develop habits. "Routines" seem boring and unproductive, but actually based the best insights.
7. Divide the long-term projects in shorter stages requiring weeks or a month. That makes the product easier to manage and provides "sprints" on the road.
8. Deleted meetings. As blog readers know, few activities are unproductive meetings. If you have to meet (and that's enough), check that all are clear from the beginning what to get.
9. not know that. The creative energy is not infinite. The best creative forces measured carefully to maintain the quality of their work.
10. And remember that the rules (including productivity) can break . It is good practice to change from time to time because they do not work. The changes bring new perspectives and help to recharge the batteries.
are 10 laws that have helped us to think. And we thought we should share with readers because we all like to implement our ideas better ... MORE

iJelz. Creating
A former colleague of mine, Rafael Navarro, wrote in "Commodore Club" in October 1983 (was published in November 1983) this juicy text:
"There, on a computer, attitude persistent that he adopts when waiting for our orders, informs us that it is ready, put your cursor at your disposal.
Another common attitude is that of presenting a range of job options. Users can easily sort the achievement of any of them using a simple operation (push of a button, activating a switch, etc.).
At other times, things are much more intuitive : one is randomly inserted into an intergalactic conflict whose rapid conditioning time and aggressiveness do not lead to hesitation. Any failure will destroy our ships, our lives and, very probably, with our reputation of hardened fighters in the area.
There is, finally, one last popular vision of computing: the computer genius solve it all that appears in the television science documentaries and magazines. The idea that we are given of the systems is that of a final product, perfect and infallible.
Nothing is further from reality ... behind the thick makeup and dressed up thousand of ergonomics, color and design, are the most foolish beings of creation. "
Undoubtedly, bridging the technology gap is a text which remains fully in force.
The text comes up because I detect in environmental thought, as increasing trend of ICT in health is the solution to all problems, whether real or imagined, so I feel obliged to remember some details that are important:
The text comes up because I detect in environmental thought, as increasing trend of ICT in health is the solution to all problems, whether real or imagined, so I feel obliged to remember some details that are important:
- ICTs, information systems technology in the service of medicine is not only an expensive experiment, without people, without professional that allow these systems to work. The human factor is therefore essential.
- ICT does not solve anything for themselves: only an amplifier of the organization and its ability to solve. As an example, it may be that our organization is a low cost MP3 with a metal, flat, or it may be that our organization is an iPod Touch, with a full and vibrant sound ... when both amplify sounds, equal amplification equipment, will remain higher quality generated by the iPod Touch. In organizations it is the same: if we are efficient, efficiency, runs faster, if we are inefficient, this inefficiency also run faster.
- ICT, to multiply the efficiency of the organization necessarily need to reengineer processes, both clinical and organizational. It is a mistake to implement information systems that conform to procedures and practices whose only justification is the phrase "it always has done so."
- ICT does not cover the entire spectrum of processes and documentation of a health service, so you have to do a proper cost-benefit assessment before implementing a very specific solution ... I have seen health information systems that have cost a fortune to the end, department-level access and rely more on what is in a Word, Excel or Access that the corporate information system. Sometimes it is better to have a "waist" and be flexible, not to invest in something that people will not use.
- We have the best world's information system in place, but if users are wary, in the end will not work properly: proper management of expectations and the change is fundamental to the success of the investment. Users to "feel his" system from the first moment is the beginning of a beautiful love story ...
- :-) And not only are ICT software, hardware and related infrastructure are: right-sizing of these elements is essential for the proper functioning of them.
- important: to be more expensive works no better information system.
So let humans solve their organizational problems, change management, management of expectations, scope, placing value on the human factor ... and only then iJelz (eHealth) may actually provide a differentiating factor in the clinical and administrative management of health services.
Only then may be considered a solution.

value.
Although talked about for a while value and excellence, here I would like to talk about another concept, value creation in the context of society.
We are in an adverse economic situation, in which the general trend, opening the economy section of any newspaper, news is not too hopeful ... and is not something we come back .
The credit crunch, the significant reduction in competitive public funding, decreased public procurement, among others, makes it extremely difficult to launch any initiative.
On the other hand, it is notable that in the absence of funding is to sharpen your wits, and both from a business perspective and from the perspective of the technology centers of R + D + i need to prioritize the identification of new niche markets, early detection needs of society, whether generic or specific sectors and layers of the population and, without abandoning the basic research investment, prioritize innovation.
The key to survival in these troubled times is sustainability, to know what our economic waterline, and with this knowledge, "filter" every idea, every proposal thinking in terms of "put-to-market", because only in this way to ensure the sustainability ... and sustainability is ensured only by creating wealth, creating value.
times prototypes, proofs of concept and piloting without a future are gone.
The market has the floor.

The health visitor of the future.

should be said that our world of health, is an industry with varying degrees of justice is demonized by a significant proportion of professionals, and this is the pharmaceutical industry, not my purpose is just to establish whether or not this situation, I simply portray what I see and feel.
And the pharmaceutical industry has a face visible and easily identifiable for the majority of professionals: health visitors.
are people who perform work and sales diffusion constant of molecules in their companies and that often have a high degree of popularity in the sector.
Although it is a fictitious story, the great Julio Mayol in this post already gives us an idea of \u200b\u200bthe feelings that many wake these hardworking professionals.
And speaking of hard professionals, because even though the image they have, are part of structures for dissemination of information, and for many years and in many cases directly or indirectly have promoted training activities, scientific meetings, conferences ...
is true, has not always been so selfless, someone always pays the party ... nothing is free.
And the winds of change, those who blow more or less strength in the sector regarding the use of new technologies and new relational models also come to the pharmaceutical industry.
What is coming, that is unstoppable, that even at the Departament de Salut de la Generalitat de Catalunya, where ICT Trend Map, trend number 8, this is (and I quote, translated into Castilian) :
E-Patient: a model of health management citizen-centered.
- It enhances the health community building about citizens and health professionals that allow participatory health scenarios with more fluid exchange of information based on affinities : Health 2.0 .
- It incorporates social media tools to develop the prevention and health monitoring and digital presence of healthcare providers, enhancing brand.
For as the Catalan government, this trend is marked as strategic .
The órdago then is served.
Assuming a situation where the responsibility (the word that is officially designated by the Health Department since the concept empowerment ) implies that the patient takes control and consciousness of its process, its pathology, has information , criterion has , knows reliable sources of information ... Who will prevent the patient displayed one day consultation with a peer-reviewed paper which shows that a certain treatment, a particular molecule is more effective and has fewer side effects ...?
Nobody.
Hence the need for the industry aware of what is coming, no longer going to be a number that approaches infinity of prescribers liabilities, and that the present force of inspectors, sized for a stage "medical only" can not reach.
Hence it is important that the industry starts to "empower" (this time it is the "word") to force the visitors on the use of Social Media, not so much action in the role of active sales , it is like putting fences into the ocean, but as "opinion formers ": those who have the best reputation , offering accurate information, those who exercised leaders of the pack are those that may also have a decisive in the opinion of the consumer / patient in our case, the e-patient.
Conceivably, another figure emerging expert patients, as leaders (reluctantly) may also be strategic target, but insist that the conventional action of a health visitor in a nonclinical not have good results.
A good example of the future health visitor is Mercè Bonjorn of Esteve ... Addition conventional stock which has been superbly trained, is a user in each of its activities, mainly in Twitter, adds value and knowledge, knowledge that not only is perceived within the sector ... with whom and in a very short space of time, has emerged as an opinion leader .
This is the way forward ... market value.
PD Certainly I think today is the anniversary of Mercè. If you see it, felicitadla!
