How To Make Your Skin Lighter After Shaving

A Life Celebration.

One of the things I like to be stuck within the healthcare blogosphere is that I have the opportunity to meet and talk with people just outstanding.

So, people like Monty Carrasco, Francesca Cañas, Bonjorn Mercè, José María Alonso , Miguel Angel Máñez , July Mayol or Karla Islands, to quote few would belong to this category ...

On Thursday, having agreed in several "Sara", but without much time to talk about serious things, shared table and tablecloth Rosa Pérez, a person who, without doubt, is within the campus of exceptional people.

During lunch we were talking about various topics, both professional and personal, especially one that concerns us both a lot.

I must say that Rosa, a nurse and anthropologist, is a person of deep verb and also affordable, with opinions that leave no one indifferent. A real treat for anyone who cultivate the art of conversation ...

And there was a time that appeared on palliative care concept ... was so interesting and his presentation captivated me that I will reproduce as faithfully as possible, from memory, that conversation.

Rosa told me that in its formative stage was very interested in accompanying the dying ... in hospitals, where the exitus is imminent, they just tell the attendant to alert and close the door.

For Rosa, wanted to deepen ... became a master, sought literature on thanatology ... and finally someone said, "Ask ... talk to them."

And she did: talk to them, ask ...

In the hospital, whenever there was a patient in that state, called to speak with them ...

I said there was a case ... an 11-year-old with leukemia ... was pretty bad. He said he did not remember his name, and say, a shade of sadness went around her beautiful hazel eyes ... lasted a second shooting, but not enough to not realize ... gathered himself and continued ...

The child said she was his girlfriend ... she was a teenager, was 27 and he entered the room, he told the parents that it was his girlfriend and they went out, leaving them alone.

"You know," he told the boy, "there are things I want to ask, things I can not ask my parents ..."

I asked "What is beyond?", "How will it be?" And other questions, questions that only a child can do ...

There was a day that you made a point: "you know, there are things that I did not get to do ever ..." and she said "Then make a list, and someone will do it for you ..."

The boy said: "What will you do!" and she nodded.

the list, little by little, things appear different ... travel, ballooning ... love ...

The day she died, she was not there, but long after, he maintained contact with their parents ...

He said: "You know, Once, talking with a midwife, told me the feeling you have of happiness and joy at the birth of a baby ... I have that same feeling when he accompanied a patient that time. "

Hopefully when the time comes, I go with someone like me Rosa Pérez.

Wow رسيفر

Empowerment: First assault.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take action in a land where it is to develop one of the biggest health challenges: the battle for the empowerment of the citizen, and I think it is necessary We recall that the city everyone from the patient, to clinicians, to citizens healthy.

Based on the premise that changes always start from the periphery (for the sake of least resistance) and to raise any transformation necessary to know precisely the point, while on a visit coordinated by the PireneLab the Vall Fosca , I had the chance to talk with professionals, healthy citizens and patients ... and even met a patient expert (although, strictly speaking, the definition that best fit would be an expert caretaker).

The reason for my visit was to make a first contact and detection of needs that could be the valley's population from a health standpoint and dependence on ICT, in addition to activities that develop PireneLab in that area, and was accompanied by his coordinator, Josep Jordana .

Approaching a rural population, high mountains, always have special connotations, since resistance to the logic that we find, we find another kind of atavistic cultural connotations and complaints (and justified, it should say) on conditions of inequality and the "imposition" they receive from everything that can be decided from outside geographical area.

And my accent is from Barcelona ...

are not used to being asked their opinion, nor are they used to come to them explaining that they will participate in the development of its solution, the services they will receive, keeping in mind the best tradition of user centric innovation: the setting in motion of a Living Lab

So you can easily imagine the faces of surprise and confusion when we were told we were there to help them, and that it was not to impose anything On the contrary, what was theirs to work together to see what could be improved, what needs they had, if they had any, and participate on an equal basis in the design and specification ... nobody has ever told them and our approach is novel.

The road has begun in this valley of the Pyrenees, the gap between the citizens of the e-citizen is given the less technologically equipped citizen, who has difficulty using a simple mobile phone ... and not just technology, is much more.

we talk about infrastructure, advanced services, training, tele what you want "... be patient, you have to be extremely educational ... must win their hearts and minds, do on a daily basis and based on small steps, small victories.

Get off the field from the abstract to the concrete, and show that yes, there are other avenues, other ways of doing things ...

From PireneLab going to keep talking to people, listening, explaining, earning their trust ... will continue the work that is vital, and I come back, sure.

The challenge has been launched ... and seem to have picked up the gauntlet.

Little Blood In Cervical Mucus Week Before Period

Tragedy. IDEC-UPF

read with surprise, bewilderment and grief the post of the letter of resignation from Salvador Casado ...

Beyond the legitimate reasons that have made a decision as serious, I would like to reflect aloud

Not long ago, I shared a taxi with a great friend, "heavyweight" in the sector, a person of reference for many both in his time at Insalud and now is in the private sector ... Curiously, at one point, we speak of Madrid, who had recently seen the Minister of Health and who had spoken of two doctors, with the same name, married, and gave as an example of innovation ...

Perhaps there is something that escapes me in this whole issue ... perhaps there is an underlying lack of dialogue by the government, aside from the well known all over the area unique, and yet ... so it seems, you acknowledge your work in private, my source is completely trustworthy.

However, I think it's a tragedy to resign ... I think you're an important asset for the NHS, and an example for all ... honors you and your consistency: more than one should take note.

I do not know what else to say ... I'm terribly sorry your decision, but understand it and understand it.

I would like to end with a sentence of the Cantar del Mio Cid, which fits like a glove on your person:

"Oh, God, what a good subject if he had good sir."

BioForum 2011.

a couple of months ago, I received a surprise mail from Dr. Antonio Cárdenas, Unit of Genomics of Complex Diseases Hospital de Sant Pau, in which I wondered if I was interested in participating in the BioForum IDEC-UPF ... to which I replied that yes, of course.

Gone are the days and is available a provisional agenda of the conference, which will be held on September 29th in Barcelona ...

It is my honor to be invited, and more honor if possible taking into account the luxury escorts will be present at my side.

And what speak? Naturally, i2HealthSantPau.

Attendance is free ... and I hope to see you all there. :-)

Skin Swollen Below Cuticle

Someone had to say.

Photo: Hospital Waiting Room Shuchter

all think we know what the patient thinks, what the patient feels that we can anticipate their wishes.

And we do so in the belief that we are all patients get the disease and all alike.

The reality is that the behavior in front of a disease situation of the professionals linked to the health sector, with respect to the population with little or no linkage with industry is very different: we know the industry, we know the system and make better use of it ... are what a friend of mine defined it, with great success, "patients biased."

And in that belief no one dares to leave the comfort zone and ask what the patient really thinks.

remember a recent meeting with two specialists who struggled a service that is irrelevant and I can not reveal here ... the two agreed that they knew what the patient needed in a given disease: when asked if he had asked patients how they wished to provide the service, looked at me with surprise ... them they were not thought to ask: what took for known ... without asking.

And how do you ask? ... How many times have we seen in front of some type of guest satisfaction and we've answered what I really thought the topic that we wondered? Who can say that I always answer all questionnaires with what he really thinks? How many of us affects the environment in time to respond?

Think, for us, patients are often poorly tolerated guests in our centers, where in fact we are intruders in their lives.

How to approach the patient and tell us what you want ... which is different from what you want, and also different from what you need?

Who cares to measure the gap?

Because, we focus on what they want, but what they have been asked what they do not want?

livinglabización in processes and depending on the project are different approaches to the interrogation and detection of needs, but one of the most effective approaches is to make three rounds of questions, asking the same questions with a lapse of time between them, usually the first time what the answer is predictable, the second answer to the obvious, and the third, the true answer.

But this still does not answer the question of how to approach the patient.

and social networks can help, but we can not run the risk of increasing the digital divide, to create an elite based on social media excluding those who can not, do not know, can not access to knowledge and services they are entitled to parity of status.

must define a strategy approach, to be multichannel, multi-sectoral and multidisciplinary.

should be further reflection.

Actresses With Brown Hair And Hazel Eyes

An act of courage: # hcsmeuES

Friday, April 1. A splendid day, sunny, with little clouds, with temperatures announcement of 25 º ...

That day I went to a hotel to participate in an unconference, the first meeting of the English chapter of Social Media Healthcare Europe, # hcsmeuES.

The unconference format, midway between livinglabización workshops and breakout , which enhanced the debate a round table and a specific topic within 4 areas of debate (table like the one pictured, courtesy of Irene Tato ), and a time bound, in a post-it is pointing to the key ideas discussed Xuan paper glue (sorry, I do not know what their exact name).

also be promoted in each area is made an exchange of persons between tables, to enrich the debate ... and elected a coordinator for each table, which was the only one I could not change table.

I must say that Talavera Juana Arce and Amalia "artfully" I was nominated for coordinator of the table "at"-original, right? - which I accepted, not realizing that my health was in "Cinderella mode, and 15h should go ... according to the schedule, it was after 15h when the coordinators were to speak.

played at the table to discuss different topics:
  • On "The health administration 2.0, we had to discuss collaborative models.
  • on "Technological support for health 2.0 social networking, we had to discuss social expressions.
  • on "The role of patients in a 2.0 environment. The patient empowerment, we had to discuss strategies approach.
In the 4 th point I could not intervene ... remember, as Cinderella ... (

I have my notes in front, and I am tempted to transcribe them, but in my absence, and there was none, as he could, tried to represent the table "at", my great friend Montse Carrasco, and respect for it will not.

I would highlight the high degree of participation of professionals with whom I had the honor to share a table and the large number of ideas that appeared in the debates ... extended to other participants .

From a human point of view, I loved meeting old acquaintances (and known) to discover great (and timid) professional ... and I missed very little to get excited when I left ...

But I will not say here.

I loved the initiative, and little to the dates and budget permit, I will be happy to participate in a new edition of # hcsmeuES.

Is it possible to change things?

Yes, it is possible.

is an act of courage.
